Automate action - Set field value - Enter manually does not resolves field

I created automate action as "copy current record" with the option to enter a field value manually and setting it initially by using this field:

But on the record the value of the field is not resolved:

Which field type you are using for "Version" field?

The field "Version" is of type "Input Numeric Field".
The idea is, to increase the former value by a given increment by an automate action.

With the field type "Input Masked Filed" it is the same, but the configuration form in automate action looks different. There is a deviation between setting a defined value (upper field) or using the value from the current record (lower field).
