How to change the markers on image map?

If I do not want an icon to be displayed, it would be helpfull if just the text would be displayed in flexible box or so.

It is not very clear, although Stinkelch explained it step by step: I was not able to see the "Icons" tab in the settings dialog.
Any addional hint?

You can set icons bay Type or Status which is dropdown field. If you don't have any dropdown then you can't setup icons.

When I use a global dropdown that I created before, named "status", it works. But with other dropdowns it does not work. And it is very strange: the entry names for the uploadable files have not the names of the "status" values, but the names of a dropdown I created as local dropdown before and which did not work, then I changed to global dropdown again. There must be a kind of caching error or something similar.
If the dropdowns have to have special features, this should be noted in the manual...

I then deleted the dropdown and added the same global "status" dropdown again: the "Icon" fields have now disappeared again. Then while adding local dropdowns it works again and correct.

Global list is not supported. This is should be unique item type.
