Search on Heading Field in some Entities not working after upgrade to 2.4.1

I have multiple entities. I have always been able to search the data field marked "Is heading". Since the upgrade, sub entities don't allow this anymore.

Make sure field is checked.

The field does not appear in the list. I am unable to set it to be searchable. Here is the field definition. Before the update it was automatically searchable.

This field type is not available for search because value generated dynamically.
You can use Static Text pattern where values is saved in database and then you can do search.

I have the same issue with drop-down list fields. What can I do about that?

Nothing. Some fields just not supported for search and you can use filters to filter values by choices from dropdown.

Why was it changed so that these fields are not searchable? I went back to my previous version 2.2, and they ARE searchable in that version.

This is causing me huge problems. I need to be able to search on fields that are populated by global lists and this no longer works for me.

I can't change the way my system is set up to accommodate these searches that no longer work. I am certain they worked in 2.2, because I used them every day. They are heading fields in most of my displays.

Can you check into this further to see what changed to cause this?
