Hi, good morning,
I'm not sure if this is a bug or a subject for discussion, but I have a sub-entity that doesn't appear to have working display rules.
I have an entity of 'Requests' with a sub-entity of 'Tasks'.
I have set display rules within the 'Task' entity to hide certain fields for Request Types (Note: Compilation is set to hide Location, Related Tasks and Checklist).
When I create a new Task the hidden files are not hidden, even though these are listed to be.
Do Display Rules not apply to a sub-entity, or do they work differently
Many thanks in advance

Re: Sub-Entity Display Rules - Bug?
Hi, I appreciate it's been a busy time with the roll out of V2.4, but I was wondering if there's been any thought to the problem of Display Rules for Sub-Entities. I've attached some images to help out.
I have an Enitity 'Request' with a sub-entity 'Tasks'. When a user selects a task-type from Tasks (for example a hard drive examination), certain fields should be hidden, an example being 'Date Attended'. However, these fields are not hiding even though I have set them to. I hope the images attached give some assistance. Do the display rules for sub-entities not behave in the same way as for main entities?
Many thanks in advance

Re: Sub-Entity Display Rules - Bug?
Hi and thanks for the quick reply.
I can confirm this is the same in 2.3.1 and in 2.4. The default Task page looks like below (no selections made) and should only have the drop-down to select the Task type showing. Using Hard Drive Examination again, it shows the Date Attended field still visible Thanks again and hope that helps

Re:Sub-Entity Display Rules - Bug? SOLVED
Hi, for information and to help other users.
The reason for my problem was that I was trying to select from multi-select drop down entity. It appears the display rules don't work with this format, which sort of makes sense as they work off one choice at a time.
Setting it to be a simple drop-down menu makes the display rules work as they should.
Hope this helps with anyone else who might be struggling, and thanks to Support for their assistance

Re: Sub-Entity Display Rules - Bug?
For multi-select drop down all fields will be hidden by default and will be available when you select value if there is rule for this value.
